My background is in Māori medium education programmes. Revitalisation of Te Reo, tikanga and governance roles in education, addressing the learning needs of specifically Māori children, using Māori epistemology and ways of learning are some of my areas of interest.

I am involved in the Undergraduate, Graduate diploma and Post Graduate programmes within the Faculty of Education, specializing in the te reo Māori and Māori medium fields of education.

I have completed a Masters degree in Māori medium experiences of participants in a mainstream secondary school. My future research interests are focussed around the Governance and leadership roles of ensuring  effective learning experiences in Māori medium education.
