Postgraduate study in the areas of technology, environmental, mathematics and science education caters for teachers, teacher educators and curriculum developers. As the focus is on education, the papers and research covers a broad range of topics from how students learn, how teachers teach, content, assessment and schooling.
Our flexible learning opportunities offered on-campus or online, provide for interdisciplinary study or specialised independent research at Postgraduate Diploma, Masters or Doctoral level. Papers are taught through group seminars, discussions and online forums for Diploma and Masters papers. Supervision is provided for independent study for Directed Studies, Masters and Doctoral theses.
In addition to offering study awards for teachers, the TEMS Centre also supports NZ Science, Mathematics and Technology Teaching Fellows and the fee subsidy available for Mathematics students.
